Teachers and learners roles in integrating virtual or physical classroom!

The roles of learners and teachers in integrating virtual classrooms are interlinked!
The teachers act as monitors that guide the learning process. They monitor the setting and choose the material that the learners should work on. They provide feedback and assessment for the learners' performance and help build their knowledge.

The learners however interact with the material depending on the teachers'feedback to be able to demonstrate autonomy, creativity and contribute to global cultural interaction. They play a vital role in social change and cascade their knowledge to others using material that they have created themselves. Both teachers and learners here work collaborative to install and build competence, knowledge and creativity!

Reflection and Practice in Virtual education.

Week 2: The uses of language and how they change our practices:

The action oriented approach advocated that language can be learnt through communication language competence not as just a system of rules or grammar. For learners to develop their language competence, they should bring to the fore the three main competencies that are linguistic competence, socio-linguistic and pragmatic competence. This can be developped through meaningful and authentic situation that are based on current practice of the newly acquired functions, chunks and language exchange patterns. When the learner is aware of the three competencies, they manage to control and manipulate the pragmatic force, communicative capacity, level of politeness or formality in any discourse! Thus they become autonomous and manage to produce language meaningfully.
